I love this, I don't like the idea of people spending their life in school, but if they are curious they should have a free opportunity for education to a point.

I'll be posting more "news" posts as my job permits, I obviously don't as much free time as the unemployed. But we'll see how many bizarre Tweets I can dig up.

You support 2 more years of "free" education beyond high school? that is what I'm promoting in my post.

I didn’t understand your post. Free ed is not free. It is paid for by tax dollars. To answer your question. I don’t agree with the socialist/communist nutcase agenda.

Maybe, if the school system has them for two more years, they won’t turn out to be such babies. :sarcasm: I have to say I am surprised this is coming out of TN.

So grade and high school should be abolished?

I support education to the 14th grade, I'll happily pay for it. 12 grade was the goal post for what, 40 years?

I didn’t say ed should be abolished. Where did that come from? All I am saying is enough is enough. If one does not get it after 12 years, then I don’t know what to tell ya. To me, at this point, it just means 2 more years of indoctrination. Nite.

And after 14 years they still won't know a god damned thing. Just like today after 12 years.

You didn't understand her post? That is not a surprise...you still don't understand left foot...right foot...you keep trying right foot, right foot and falling over...of course that is also what happens when you spend your life on a bar stool clutching a fifth of whiskey and a straw.

No sorry...there is a point at which parents and kids need to make choices and have skin in the game.

College is not for everyone. College must be accessible or the ideal of the American dream is nothing more than that...a dream. We should help those who want to go to college and are qualified to go to college. The community college system is a wonderful option for this, scholarships, grants community support all can go a long way to do this.

No there should be no Grade 13 and 14.

BTW...GURPS gets a nickle for every original post...and a dime every time he gets someone to reply. So if you want to help a poor Russian...mention his name often and respond to his propaganda. He's feeding a family of 20 after all.

Just pointing out the obvious:

If kids learned what they're supposed to in K-12, they wouldn't need 13th and 14th grade. College used to be considered higher education for those who wanted to go into a specialized field. Now it's basically extended high school, and at some universities it's nothing more than very expensive protest training camps.

How about grade 13 is "free" teaching life skills, and grade 14 is a "service" year? Help the elderly, pick up trash, build border walls, whatever. Get a good grounding in what work means.

This, from the ball of whiney confusion that still can't comprehend the male/female paradigm...of course, that is what happens when your mentors fail you...

You want them to learn, stick them in the military for 2 years immediately out of high school. Guaranteed they will learn a lot more life lessons in the service than they will doing 15 hours of class a week for 2 years. And no Martin Mull or Ted Nugent faking your nutz to get out of it.

Better yet, take a few thousand high school grads. Divide them in half. Some go into the service and the rest go to community college. Wait 5 - 7 years then compare the 2 groups. My money is on the people that learned how to correctly fold their clothes and show up to work on time or else face the consequences.

Just curious...how many other failed or failing programs do you support?
It would be nice to know where you fall on the spectrum...
"Sensible & Intelligent" or "you're lying about having a job & we're already taking care of you"...
