Sunday marks the second anniversary of the inauguration of our inept and incompetent President.
According to 538's composite polling data, Trump's approval rating has dropped below 40%--again. His disapproval rating is back over 55. Naturally, these numbers are of his own making...his childlike mentality, a vocabulary that stopped growing around age 12, his inability to hold a policy position or thought for more than 60 seconds, his complete failure to get anything of value passed and the negative impact he and he alone is having on hundreds of thousands if not millions of American households...all of these "traits" clearly explain why Trump has set a new record!
Again, using the 538 data, Trump is the ONLY President in modern times (since the end of WWII) whose average poll numbers never reached 50% or greater during the entirety of his first 2 years.
The amazing thing about that stat is that Trump has made no effort at any time during his campaign or since the election to win over more people. He has made no effort to govern for or appeal to anyone beyond the minority that support him. Now that minority is shrinking.
Trump came into office with an economy that was primed to expand at a faster pace due to the stabilization of oil prices. Unemployment was still trending down. Inflation was tame. Interest rates were low. It is the economy that drives the satisfaction of most Americans. Trump essentially walked into office dealt a royal flush...and folded when the dealer went around the table for the first round of bets. He never looked at his cards...never saw the opportunity...and so he lost at a table where no one else was holding even a low pair.
The guy has proven to be exactly what everyone told you he was. Inept. Incompetent. Unfit.
