he world is going to end in 12 years unless the government takes action, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) said Monday at a Martin Luther King forum in New York City.

Here’s an excerpt from her interview with Ta-Nehisi Coates:

“And I think the part of it that is generational is that millennials and people, in Gen Z, and all these folks that come after us are looking up and we’re like, the world is gonna end in 12 years if we don’t address climate change. You’re biggest issue, your biggest issue is how are going to pay for it? — and like this is the war, this is our World War II. And I think for younger people looking at this are more like, how are we saying let’s take it easy when 3,000 Americans died last year, how are we saying let’s take it easy when the end person died from our cruel and unjust criminal justice system?

How are we saying take it easy, the America that we’re living in today is dystopian with people sleeping in their cars so they can work a second job without healthcare and we’re told to settle down. It’s a fundamental separation between that fierce urgency of now, the why we can’t wait that King spoke of. That at some point this chronic reality do reach a breaking point and I think for our generation it reached that, I wished I didn’t have to be doing every post, but sometimes I just feel like people aren’t being held accountable. Until, we start pitching in and holding people accountable, I’m just gonna let them have it.”

Her world will most likely end in two years if she doesn’t get on that phone and start begging for money.

I wonder if the people of the Bronx think that they made a terrible mistake with this girl.

She is living in her own dream world.Reality is a monster to her.
Yes I can dream of a world where everyone lives like Nancy Pelosi, rich and well fed, in a beautiful home, their kids have brilliant minds and no one is poor.
I can dream of a world with no petroleum products or coal.A world where we don't need a military or nuclear devices.
Where we can adjust the climate with a thermostat on the wall and hold back the tide.

She has a great dream of a loving mankind that lives in world of peace and tranquility.
But that world does not exist.

LoL I bet they don't. The people who voted for her have no idea what is going on. If they did they wouldn't have voted for her.

I'll bet real money that they are absolutely thrilled and over the moon about their choice. I heard about some poll this morning where over 70% of respondents thought AOC was presidential material or something like that.

They will not regret electing her until they realize she is all dreams and unicorns. None of her campaign points have any chance of passing muster. After things settle down and she becomes just another vote for pelosi's agenda she will start with the programmed chants of how she is being held down by the racist old white men of the Republican Party. She is the jump the shark moment of the left.

Oh, she's very popular with crazy progbots who don't live in her district. But the Bronx is poor and non-white, and I have to believe they have more important concerns than "climate change". They voted for the bartender because she was a D and not white, and because...well, these type of people do things like vote for a 20-something bartender to represent them in Congress. But I'm thinking at some point they're going to want her to do something other than be a celebrity. Or maybe not - we're not talking about the cream of the crop here.

It's always fascinating to me that the worst areas of our country consistently vote Democrat, even though they get nothing out of it and their communities just keep getting worse.

Because the Democratic candidates with their allies in the press have convinced them with the argument that success is one more term without a Republican.

Sooner or later some of them have realized they've been told to look in the corner of a round room. That's how Walkaway started.

Frankly, I've yet to see many on the left that ever "realize" things like that. They simply turn their head and look in another direction....and make up silly excuses. I watched one of my friends on FB try to carry a coherent argument with a hopelessly confused far-left woman who had a laundry list of reasons why Venezuela is a failed state,. Not one of those reasons a) was the slightest bit rational or correct b) blames socialism. Some were downright loopy conspiracy theories.

You cannot debate with someone like that..like Sappy and Tranny...and you certainly are not going to see them "change their minds".
