You just gotta love ABC News. They send a team over to where Kerry earned his silver star, and ask a bunch of 80 year old villagers about that day. They say they remember all of the events of that day because of all the damage, yet the only casualty any of them remembers is the kid Kerry shot in the back. They talk about a fierce firefight and lots of shooting, but only one guy mentions the VC doing any of the shooting. It sounds more like all of the villagers were hitting the deck and diving for cover from incoming American fire.
One lady talks about remembering the day because there was so much damage to the village, yet there was only one casualty???
The take I got from the report was that ABC news was willing to overlook a whole lot of inconsistency to guage that Kerry's account is accurate.
