Emergency Vet?

My cat died from bladder stone surgery complications in Sept. I called my vet's number at 5am and got a number to call for emergencies which directed me to an emergency vet clinic in Waldorf.

I was wondering if there was actually a closer emergency vet. I'm in Chaptico, St. Mary's county so even Lexington Park is closer to me than Waldorf.

Take care,

As far as I know, the emergency vet services in Waldorf are the only one available to St. Mary's County vets - they no longer offer after hours services themselves. :frown:

I have used Three Notch Vets for 20 years now and I know they now refer you to them.

Well Waldorf isn't too bad. I remember when the closest emergency vet was in Annapolis. Of course on a Sunday, my lab jumped up to catch a ball and came down on his back leg wrong. He dislocated it. I called and found out Annapolis was the closest emergency vet. I wrapped it that night and then took him to the vet 1st thing Monday morning instead of driving that distance.

Sorry about your cat.
