clam or oyster shells for landscaping

Try local seafood restaurants, I'm sure they'd be glad to get rid of the excess shells especially after a busy weekend.  

I'm not sure of your location, but down at Historic St. Mary's near the river there was multitudes of shells not too far down in the soil..  So many, in fact, that there was almost a solid layer of them which made it hard to dig at times.
