Let see if I have this right. The U.S. developed the technology and instituted it by DARPA originally as ARPANET with no funds of help from the U.N. and did it to frustrate the former Soviet Union and China and other countries from the "other side", and now we are just supposed to hand it over. Of course. But just because they want it doesn't mean they should have it. They can control what their own citizens can and cannot access right now - ask China or any Islamic nation. Other than that, they can pack sand.

I'm not disagreeing with you or agreeing. I saw the story on yahoo a minute after it came out and was considering posting it but I just didn't see anything new or surprising. I'm just surprised it took them so long to start making demands.

I do agree with you about what their own citizens can and can not access, since that's their domestic affairs.
