They're at it again.

TELEMARKETING PHONE CALLS

Just a reminder that on December 15 cell phone numbers are being released to telemarketing companies and you will start to receive sales calls. YOU WILL BE CHARGED for these calls. To prevent this, call the following number FROM your cell phone:

(888 382-1222) OR, GO HERE ONLINE: https://www.donotcall.gov/default.aspx If you use the Internet, you MUST respond to their email within 72 hours. This is the FTC's website!

It's the National Do Not Call list. It will only take a minute of your time. It blocks your number for 5 years. Please pass this to all you! r friends.

Nothing to see here
Your phone number with the last four digits xxxx was registered in the National Do Not Call Registry on x/xx/2xxx. Most telemarketers will be required to stop calling you 31 days from your registration date. Your registration will (or did) expire on x/xx/2010.

Visit www.donotcall.gov to do any of these things:
-- to renew your registration before it expires
-- to file a complaint

If you're on the list and get a call, take the time to file a complaint.

Couldn't hurt to get your numbers listed on the Do Not Call List.

snopes (in part):
Six national wireless companies (AllTel, AT&T Wireless, Cingular, Nextel, Sprint PCS, and T-Mobile) have banded together and hired Qsent, Inc. to produce a Wireless 411 service. Their goal is to pool their listings to create a comprehensive directory of cell phone customer names and phone numbers that would be made available to directory assistance providers.

Verizon Wireless and U.S. Cellular Corp. have always been opposed to the proposed cell phone directory,

Another of the many good reasons to dump Nextel.

WTF, as if them calling our homes 20 times a day isn't enough. I will be adding my name to that list right about now...
