Wild pigs cause

ecoli contamination.
My question is, do they not check this stuff before it gets packaged? I mean is the only indication that it is safe to eat it is no one has gotten sick recently?
"No one has become ill from eating contaminated spinach since Sept. 25. "All evidence points to this outbreak having concluded," said Dr. Kevin Reilly of the California Department of Health Services."
