Protesters Storm Stage During NYC Mayor Eric Adams’ Speech: ‘How Much Money Do You Take from the Rich?’
Planet Over Profit, a youth-led group that advocates for climate justice, claimed responsibility for the protest in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“This was us. Landlord Adams is torching our city so he can keep eating out of real estate lobby’s hands,” the group wrote. “He gutted the city’s Green New Deal, Local Law 97, so the rich can get richer. Enough is enough. Let’s get us a better mayor.”
See in many ways most cities are kind of like Disney World, and this is truer for New York City than it is for any other city. While many people's idea of 'communing with nature' is being completely isolated in nature, there are a lot of people who think that joining in with a big crowd of people in a carefully manicured park in the middle of a bustling metropolis is just as much communing with nature as being in the middle of a Maine woods. Which, again, if that's your thing great but obviously it's not everyone's thing, as people were quick to point out.

Some among the group “aggressively confronted shoppers, trying to sell them phony Apple Airpods or soliciting tips for lifting items from shopping carts into cars — even when uninvited,” the outlet said.
Social media users shared their thoughts on the situation, one person writing, “Thanks Joe Biden. Amazing work.”
“So sad that America has come to this. Thank Joe Biden and his Regime,” another person commented.
One worker claimed a female supervisor saw a migrant “washing his privates with a water bottle in the lot, and that several women have called customer service to complain that migrants robbed them of purses or phones,” the Post article said.

A massive new anti-Israel tent city took over Columbia University on Sunday, just days after an NYPD raid cleared another intrusive encampment there and cuffed more than 100 protesters.
At least 30 tents were sprawled across the Manhattan Ivy League school’s West Lawn in front of Butler Library along with piles of food and supplies as embattled university officials struggled to contain the growing crisis.
The upheaval and threats to Jewish students have become so intolerable that a prominent rabbi at the prestigious school urged them Sunday to stay home — and university officials told them they could take classes online.
“We are looking for our demands, and we are going to continue that,” an encampment protester defiantly told The Post on Sunday. “We are here forever. We’re here as long as [it takes till] Columbia meets our demands.
White House Responds to Anti-Israel Protests at Columbia University: ‘Antisemitic, Unconscionable, Dangerous’
White House deputy press secretary Andrew Bates issued a statement on Sunday acknowledging that American citizens have the “right to peaceful protest,” while adding that “calls for violence and physical intimidation” against the Jewish community are unacceptable.

Bates’ statement comes as anti-Israel protests at various universities have popped up over the course of the past few days. Several pro-Palestinian student groups at the University of North Carolina, Boston University, and the Ohio State University announced they would hold rallies and protests in support of the encampment at Columbia University.
On early Wednesday morning, protesters reportedly set up an anti-Israel encampment on the lawn of Columbia University. On Thursday, several students, including Isra Hirsi, the daughter of Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), were suspended from Barnard College over their involvement in the encampment.
More than 100 pro-Palestinian protesters involved in the encampment, including Hirsi, were also arrested on Thursday.
Despite the arrests, protesters were recorded placing tents in the encampment on Sunday.
Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA), who has come out in support of Israel and criticized anti-Israel protesters, wrote in a post on X that he agreed “with the White House” labeling the protests as antisemitic, unconscionable, and dangerous.
“Add some tiki torches and it’s Charlottesville for these Jewish students,” Fetterman added, calling for Columbia University President Minouche Shafik to do her job “or resign.”

I mean, my god she was groomed to overthrow our country. I don't know how Columbia names its presidents, I assume she was hired/appointed by a BoD? No idea. But there she is, and they hired her, and now she's doing what she's always done, what they KNEW she was doing. Columbia and the rest of these elite schools are nothing more than factories churning out America-hating Leftists and every last one of them should be shut down, yet here Democrats are demanding that We the People fund their indoctrination camp in the form of forgiving student debt.
