Best Way to New England?

Just wondering if anyone has ideas on the best route to take from SoMD to New Hampshire. First thought is to stick with I-95 straight up. Any better routes out there?

What part of NH? I can tell you how I go to VT (and depending on what part of NH, it's probably very close). Itsbob used to live there, so he'd be a great one to ask.

Raymond, which is east of Manchester on Rt 101 towards the ocean.

Tony, do driving directions using Rand McNally. The break the route down for you and as far as directions I have never had a problem following what they plot out.

NE born and raised and one who has driven the I-95 trail way too many times...
Best way..
95/NJTP to Perth Amboy...I- 287 West, swings way around NJ, NYC and the southern Conn).. and a lot of $$$TOLLS...
Stay on I-287 over the Hudson at NYACK, NY....
Cross Hudson, stay on I-297 and get off at SAW MILL PARKWAY, North...
Stay on SAW MILL Parkway until you connect with I-684, NORTH..stay on I-684 until you connect with I-84 EAST towards Danbury. ( From SOMD to Danbury takes me 5 maybe 6 hours...)
Stay on I-84 until you hit the MASS PIKE aka I-90..EAST,...
Exit on I-495 , head NORTH....Exit on I-93 NORTH to Manchester ( where my father lives)...
Follow I-93 and exit ESAT onto Rt. 101.

Should take you..3-3.5 hours from Danbury, CT to Manchester, NH.

My dad taught me this after all the bottle necks in NYC and So. CONN.

I am driving up to RI this week and will taking that same route with a change after I hit Hartford, CT.

I-95 is not longer the BEST way to get to NE..unless you leave here at 11PM and drive all night to miss the INSANE daytime traffic in and around NYC!!!

check this out on a map and it may look longer, but it is faster...esp Saw Mill Parkway..No trucks!!!

Unless they like to cuss out every driver on I-95.

I have driven I-95 and everytime I do it I swear my potty-mouth gets worse. I fly now because the potty mouth needs to be in check when I see the parents.
