Here is one that is highly recommended:

Very private classic West Virginia cabin. Perfect for couples, families, children, hunters….anyone who wants to enjoy the country life!! Located just 2 hours from Washington, DC and about 1 hour from Winchester.

Tucked away on almost 2.5 acres with plenty of privacy and plenty to do. Steps away from the George Washington National Forest and Trout Pond State Park. Including a beach, picnic areas, playgrounds, hiking, and fishing. Canoes and boats (no motors) are welcome.

Also, within 10 miles is Lost River State Park with hiking, swimming pool, tennis, volleyball, horseback riding, and an arcade. The Perry Zoo is open seasonal from April thru November.

The cabin includes a fully equipped kitchen, wood burning fireplace, satellite TV, DVD Player, and washer/dryer. Two bedrooms plus loft include two full size and two twin beds. All linens are provided. Additional queen size air mattress is available. Charcoal grill on the front porch for cookouts and rear screened porch for relaxing.

I never noticed that there wasn't A/C.

It was in August and we had to turn on the heat at night.

Being the creature I am, if I got hot I would have gone out and bought a window unit.

Call and ask if they have ceiling fans (i can't remember :oldtimers:<---need a smilie for this)

There are tons of hummingbirds there. I had a bucket of KFC on my lap and I had several buzz me (one even stayed right in front of me for several seconds and I probably could have held it...it was beautiful) because the lid was red.

If you like the hummers take a feeder or something red.

Most of the cabins are also pet friendly. Be prepared for dogs. Our dog had a great time and had numerous visitors throughout our stay.

Now I want to go back.

I'm going to visit my Grandma next week. My mouth's watering just thinking about Sirianni's.

I've looked into Deep Creek. I seem to remember a thread somewhere here about cabins that were fairly close. My ideal place is secluded, where we can fish, cook what we catch, never leave, drink plenty of beer and not be bothered. Also, a hot tub is a MUST!!! So, any recommendations?

smoke hole W.V is pretty nice , Corbin Cabin is nice also but a bit of a hike goin in {not modern}
