...anybody else got one of these?

Ours always wants to sleep with us, go to the bathroom with us and stop us while going down the stairs so we can rub his belly for a minute. Licks grocery bags. Trash bags.

He races ahead of us and then just flops, like a dead cockroach or...like a dog.

He'll flop anywhere, anytime. While you're cooking. Running the vacuum cleaner. Likes to lick your face. Smell you ###. Nothing fazes him which is why we won't let him outside.

Like a dog, he's to likely to get run over while licking a bumper moving at 30 mph.

How unique is this wonderful little hound cat?

Baby of the World! Larry was never a cat person until Moosie came along.

Our shephard puppy is like that in many ways, she gives you a lick as she passes, her hello I guess.

I used to have a couple of cats that loved to play fetch.

Boris Buford Badinoff Kitty, aka, Buford Pusser or The Berf, she LOVED to play fetch with the rings that come off gallon jugs of milk. She would pick them up and bring them over and drop them at our feet and we had to get down on the floor with her to flick them across the room and she would bring them back.

Then I had Spot. She would go steal the tennis balls from the neighborhood kids who would be playing with them. Occassionally I would get a knock at the door from some kid standing there telling me that my cat stole their ball and I would have to go find Spot and get the ball back for them.

And Jack, my current cat that is almost 13, brings "gifts". She has brought me butterflies, moles, voles, lizzards, rabbits, birds, and baby copperheads!

My aunt has a cat who plays fetch. He'll bring ball in his mouth and drop it at your feet, waiting for you to throw it again. He also eats lettuce and loves radishes. Maybe he's part rabbit.

That reminds me...

...Mr. Identity Crisis drags mommys' Native American throw rug around like it is...well...some sort of dog toy.

I've got a houseful: two CatDogs and a DogCat.

Scooter the cat likes to shower WITH you. He loves to rub against you after getting out of the shower and licking your toes. When you walk, he's escorting you and walks between your feet. He flops in front of you until you pet him. He also has a closet fetish and has been accidentally closed in a couple.

Trixie the cat is a retriever. Her favorite toys are a rubber band and a foil crinkly ball. Throw either and she brings it back. She also scratches at the door to come in, and failing to get a response, starts jumping on the door to 'knock.'

Savannah the dog thinks she's a cat. She wants to lay in your lap, although at 79 pounds, she's a bit much! Loves cat food more than anything. Rubs against you like a cat.

Razz the dog is the only normal one of the group. He's the only one that actually ACTS like their species is SUPPOSED to.

Also, going to the bathroom is a group event. If you dare close the door, one or all of them is begging to get in there with you. The toilet is a large drinking fountain to them so all bathroom doors and toilet seats must be closed.

Our other cat has a shoe fetish. He lays on my shoes and rubs his head on them, then gets carried away and starts wallowing all over them, hugging them and rolling around. He'll chew and lick the straps of my sandals. He's a nut.

I'm trying to remember the last time I went to the bathroom without Moosie outside scratching at the door.

I had a dog with a shoe fetish. Not chewing - no, nothing NORMAL like that.

He loved to LICK the inside of my shoes. More than once I put on a shoe and went *squish*...

And Moosie slobbers, too. It's pretty gross. He'll be laying on you, sleeping, and when you finally shove him off, there's this big slobber spot on your shirt or your arm. I didn't even think cats could slobber.

Because...

they unconditionally give us love, entertain us for (close to) free, and are always happy to see you when you come home. They give you unlimited sympathy, devoted companionship, don't talk back, and are warm and fuzzy. What more could you want?

Scooter the cat was just outside and wanted in because it started raining. He jumped on the hammock outside my window, and started swinging it and frantically meowing to get my attention. Absolutely priceless.
