The Board of County Commissioners, through the Department of Recreation, Parks & Community Services, invites the public to observe the Moon, planets and stars through a variety of telescopes and binoculars. Equipment provided by the Southern Maryland Astronomical Society (SMAS). Meet SMAS members and learn how to get started in backyard astronomy. Fun for all ages! Everyone welcome! Weather permitting; there is no rain date.
