Payback time

A young man had just gotten his driver's permit and his father had agreed to take him out in the family car for practice.

The son opened the driver's door and got in the car.

His father opened the back door and got in the car.

"Dad," said the lad, "aren't you going to sit up front with me?"

"No," said the Dad, "I'm going to do what you've done for the past fifteen years. I'm going to sit behind you and kick the seat."

"...then I'm gonna whine for an hour telling you I have to potty and asking you if we're there yet. Then I'm gonna start fighting with your mother in the back seat, screaming at the top of my lungs. Then..."
