Thanks Bud! I know I can do it, but won't be easy. My daughter keeps telling me that I m going to die if I still smoke them and has been after me to do it as well.

Goodluck Rose! If you need any incouragement, give me a shout. I know how hard it is, I have been smoke free since 7:30 a.m. 5/18/04. I have just gotten to the point where the smell of cigarette smoke smells absolutely DISGUSTING to me. Hopefully that means I am no longer addicted. Don't get me wrong, I still crave a smoke now and then, but it's not nearly as bad as it was a month ago. It took me a good 2-3 weeks to get to where the cravings were not too bad. I went cold turkey, but that isn't for everybody.

This is gonna sound weird (like that's a big surprise around these parts) but one of the things that helped me deal with the cravings while at work was going to a coworker that smoked Marlboro Reds and borrowing a cig. and just taking a good deep wiff of it. Not lighting it or anything, just inhaling the aroma of the tobacco. It may have been all mental, but it helped me alot.
