MP3 sharing sites

Does anyone know of a good MP3 sharing site? I used to love Napster, but it's gone :bawl:. I have also tried Morphius and WinMX, but I am having problems with them now for some reason. The guys at work are too, hmmmmmm :confused: Just wondering if there are any others I might try that are free and somewhat easy to download/use. Thanks for the help.

kazaa.com! It's better than Napster, even! This is not a lie - I was looking for the karaoke version of "Respect"...and it was there! I've found some of the most obscure songs you can imagine - how about "Ragmop" and "Curly Shuffle"? Hello? Their user base is enormous and the interface is a cinch.

Kazaa has loads of spyware to look at your every move and sell it to advertisers. You'll have spam in your mailbox in no time.

I would recommend trying like hell to get WinMX to work. The only truly free spyware free peer-to-peer file-sharing software.

You might try uninstalling it completely and upgrading to the latest version.

Thanks for the tip Sleuth, however, I did try EVERYTHING with WinMX and nothing seems to work. Two guys I work with say that they can't get it going either. I already downloaded Kazaa and downloaded lots of songs last night. Not sure what "spyware" is, I didn't see anything unusual. I guess if it starts to annoy me, I can un-install...... or worse case scenario, Format C. And if that don't work, I'll throw the whole damn computer out in front of a fast-moving bread truck or something. :biggrin:

Kazaa is great! Use it all the time. I can deal with the Spam to download the music I want. You know what they say; you don't get something for nothing. Unless your a dem... (never mind!) :eek:

Tater, I hope you specified which folders you allow Kazaa to share with the world. If you just went with the default (unless they've changed the option) you've just given everyone and their brother free reign to download any file you have on your computer. We might be seeing all your nudie pics! I do hope you're photogenic :wink: :lmao:

I do love Kazaa though. Has anybody downloaded movies off of there (other than porn!) ? I haven't tried, was just wondering how they turned out, if anyone has.

Holy Crap... are you serious?? :lmao: Well, sheet, now if I see my pics on Consumption Junction, I'm not gonna know whether they got on there through SxyPrincess or Kazaa. :ohwell:

I use Kazaa Lite. I don't as much spam/pop ups as I did when I used Kazaa...
I've downloaded music videos from there and songs that I couldn't get anywhere else...

I have to agree. I useWin MX and Kazaa Lite. it is kazaa without the adware and spam and such. I recommend it. Search for Kazaa Lite or get it from http://www.kazaalite.com/ and Win MX utilizes a sort of file splitting to enable multi-source download to create one file from multiple sources if available, which is nice sometimes. you can search for it or go to http://www.winmx.com I generally search for something on win mx first and if i can't find it there i can usually find it on kazaa. Have fun!

But you know what bobby...WinMx is sooooo sloooow! It just does not work correctly and you know we have a pretty good connection.

Kazaa lite creates a shared folder, which by default, is the only location which can be accessed by others. In the options, you can select your entire hard drive, but its not selected by default.

Also, I don't know what the mention of needing a disposable email address was refering too. I didn't enter an email address anywhere in Kazaa lite. I just made something up for a user name.
