Hero's good. If you liked "Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon" you'll love it.
The cinematography is breathtaking--beautiful vivid colors, angles, costumes, and settings. Storyline is a bit jumbled, but it all comes together if you pay attention. Acting is not unforgettable, but it's pretty good. There are a few enticing action sequences (complete with typical super-kung-fu-master-fly-through-the-air-or walk-on-water-techniques...), but I came away from this film thinking it was more of a drama than an action film.
Some find this irritating, but the entire film is in Mandarin chinese---so go prepared to read subtitles.
Is it worth $8? Yeah, maybe...but bring your own candybar.
