Laptop Battery Refurbs

Anyone know where I can find a place to recondition Notebook/Laptop Lithium-Ion batteries? You're not supposed to dispose of batteries in the landfill. So, just like a car battery, I'd like to have these 2 HP Laptop batteries recycled, rebuilt and returned to me. Any ideas?

Some county land-fills "might" take them. I know they accept car batteries. You have to go to the land-fill and NOT the transfer station.

I hope this helps!

Actually, I want to have them refurbished, so I can use them as backups.

Have you tried that site that "Al", from "Tool Time" does the ads for? I think it is RBRC (Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corporation) I think the site address was http://www.rbrc.org . Don't know if they give you a core fee on returns or something along those lines but it might be a place to start looking.

I found them - apparently they only recycle them via national retailers. I'm having no luck on this quest.
