Fixed this today and it was GREAT!
Thought I would share, and hope that you'll enjoy it too.

Crockpot Chicken

Boneless skinless chicken breasts (about 1 lb.)

1 can condensed cream of celery soup

1 can condensed cream of chicken soup

dried minced onion (about 2-3 TBSP)

chopped celery ( about 2 stalks)

poultry seasoning (about 1/2 tsp.)

Put all ingredients into crockpot and cook on LOW all day.

I served this with rice.

Did you add any water to this? I was wondering if it came out dry.

No water, it was perfect for me. If you try this and find to be dry, next time add a little if you'd like. I thought it would call for a little water myself, but thought I would follow the recipe exactly the first time to see how it turned out.

Chicken breast offers it's own liquid to the mix as it cooks.

If you like slow cooked chicken and garlic, try this one.

40 Cloves and a Chicken

1 whole chicken (broiler/fryer) cut into 8 pieces
1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons olive oil
10 sprigs fresh thyme
40 peeled cloves garlic
Salt and pepper

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Season chicken with salt and pepper. Toss with a 2 tablespoons olive oil and brown on both sides in a wide fry pan or skillet over high heat. Remove from heat, add oil, thyme, and garlic cloves. Cover and bake for 1 1/2 hours.

Remove chicken from the oven, let rest for 5 to 10 minutes, carve, and serve.

This sounds good. Do you cut the chicken breasts up or leave them whole? And "all day" means approximately how many hours? TIA

I've made something similar, but the chicken was left whole and the cloves stuff inside the bird's cavity then the bird roasted in the oven. I think it was a recipe from the Frugal Gourmet. Love his "peasant food" recipes. :yay:

Whole. I started mine around 10am and ate at 6pm. Looked to be done before the 8 hours, but I let it continue to cook till I was ready to eat.

I made it and loved it. I'm a big fan of garlic so it was good for me. The best thing about it was after it's cooked, you can take the garlic cloves and they spread on bread like butter.
