It's OK for checking mileage. If it is a salvage/flood car a careful crook can sanitize the title so you won't have a clue.

Carmax, not CarFax.

I got my last car there. About $1,000 below blue book. It was nice not wondering If I had haggled them down enough. No problems with anyhing, no pressure, no smarmy salesmen pressuring you.

A relative bought one from them a couple of years ago and didn't like it. They took it back just like the ad says and put her in one she liked. they gave her a free carfax with it
