So, after taking my rat, Rayne, to the vet- to find out that she has mites- and costing me a good chunk of change and an injection later.. I had to take my other two in for prevenative treatment today. Which of course cost me another chunk of change.... (good grief) I was told that they all had to have 2 more treatments of the Ivermectin.
Guess what I am asking, in your opinion- its not the Ivermectin that is killing me- it is the visits, where they charge me- and I was wondering if all 3 were necessary. I mean- yes, they said I "should" do it- but does that mean that is an absolute- and wondered if you had experience with this and or an opinion.
Could I possibly somehow get ahold of the drug, Selamectin, that they use on kittens and use that?
