My father is getting married in a couple of weeks, he is now 71. Soon to be wifey is very well off financially, and between the two of them, they have everything you could imagine. What could you buy for them as a wedding gift? My son said matching life alert necklaces..... :killingme

I am going with soon to be step mom this morning to pick out out decorations for the tables........I suggested instead of making bird seed to throw, we could wrap Viagra in netting and throw that......... :killingme Thank heavans she has a sense of humor!!

A gift certificate to their favorite restaurant always works. Maybe a massage for the two of them? If they plan on doing any home improvements, you could try Lowes/Home Depot.

Try off the wall gifts:
http://www.findgift.com/Gift-Types/Wacky/
Or anything different and original - example:
Do they like country music? buy a compilation country music cd and matching his and hers cowboy hat
Are they into the spa thing? - Buy them monogrammed towels and a home spa kit
Are they drinkers? Get them a smoothie maker with all the appropriate mixes and monogrammed glasses
Since they are older and have everything - something unique for just them or wacky and fun might be just the ticket.

Put together a "History of Dad" book. Include pictures, newspaper clippings, articles about past career paths, anything you can find that is even remotely relevant to your dads life.

Your dad will enjoy the trip down memory lane and his new wife will enjoy learning things about her new husband.

A gift certificate is a good idea.....I was going to hire someone to take care of her pool the rest of the summer since they will be traveling, but I was over there yesterday and she has her own little pool boy........ She is giving me her house key, I think I need to supervise him the rest of the summer!! :killingme

You could always buy some scrapbooking supplies and a photo album and start it for them. Give them the album (along with supplies) so that they may memorize their journey together.
