You had to be pretty fast to get this guy leaving the branch. The photo shows the beautiful upper or top of the wing patterns the bird has but not commonly seen in still photos.

I really like the composition of your shot.
Did you know the Osprey has an oil gland on the back of their neck and they constantly preen their feathers with that oil to keep them waterproof. Trouble is that the oil smells like what they eat... PU!
