Any Other Goat Breeders Out There?

I've got three goats - two pygmy crosses that weigh about 35-40lbs each with winter coats and one pygmy that's about 25-30lbs. They're all just pets - the two crosses are half-sibs and we got the male castrated, and the full pygmy had so many health issues as a baby that she's kinda deformed...

    Hunting season

I have to agree that poachers are the cause of most of our troubles - just three weeks ago, two of my horses were shot in my pasture - my boarder discovered it the next day when it was her turn to feed. Now, one of them is gray - there's no way you would mistake that for a deer, orange vest or...

    fishes for sale....

That's a good idea (upgrading to a 55gal). How large do rainbows get? I think I'd like to get your three rainbows, the cat and the gouramis - or would this be too much? Lemme know, and then how I go about getting them from you.

    fishes for sale....

I checked out the description of the boesemani rainbows on the site you gave, and it said that they get along with danios... What do you think?

    fishes for sale....

Why won't the larger rainbows get along with the danios? I'm partial to my danios, don't know why, but is it a size thing (with regards to the larger rainbows)? Do danios make good food for larger rainbows?

    fishes for sale....

I'm interested in your gouramis...we have a 29gal that currently only has 3 danios in it. So we're not overfished. And I don't know anything about the other fish you listed - would any of them live okay in a 29gal - as in, not outgrow the tank? I know the gouramis won't...please let me know!

    Head Trauma in Kitten

I wouldn't put the kitty down if it's improving - depending on the level of brain damage, it could still live a happy, healthy life. I think your vet would have told you if it was hopeless, and I've seen miracles happen - don't give up hope. Keep nurturing it...and dogs can learn to get along...

    Doggie Day Care

If everyone who worked long hours or had the potential to didn't get a dog or got rid of the one they had - how much worse would our pet overpopulation be? How many animals that could have led happy lives, sleeping or with a petsitter during the day, and then with a loving family at night...

    hello6--about litter boxes

Hello, I back you up - I have 16 cats (although most of them are semi-feral and live outside, they have names and are fixed and get their shots and whatnot)...so 10 really isn't that bad, even if they're all indoors. It sounds like you've got it all under control. I would probably be near the...

    Pets and the hurricane

recommendation for all large farm animals - breakaway halters with name tags that identify them, where they're kept, your information, and any specifics to each animal. having just a phone number on them is okay if the phone lines don't go down. i have laminated tags for each of my horses'...

Hot Spots on the puppy dawg

Hot spots can be caused by something trapped on the skin that causes a bacterial overgrowth - dogs (and all critters, for that matter), all have bacteria naturally present, but if the skin is out of balance, they get out of control and cause a hot spot. Any anti-itch medication or shampoo will...

Need to good loving home for older dogs

I have to stick my nose in here - I am expecting in January, and will likely have SIX dogs at that time - four beagles (no huge threat there), a rottie mix and a lab mix - and I intend to keep them all. There was never any question that the dogs would be staying when our little one comes. None...

    FYI on West Nile

I don't know if we're talking about the same vet, but I work for one - and they also are recommending, based on a statement released by the state, that horses get boostered a second time this year if they have not had their WNV booster since May. This may only be a one-time recommendation, so...
