Every year, a parade is held in honor of the fair. Here, the Great Mills High School marching band can be seen as the parade enters the fairgrounds.

This gentleman demonstrates the ancient art of blacksmithing. Before the advent of modern commerce and overnight deliveries, the blacksmith was instrumental to keeping a farm operating.

One of the key themes of the fair is judging of farm products such as animals, produce and derivative foods. Items are submitted just before the fair opens, judged and then kept on display for the general public.
