“A couple of the most highly respected health policy academics recently set up a meeting with AOC’s office to discuss NHS style healthcare reform,” a tweet from a random Twitter account stated. “They were told bluntly by AOC’s staff, ‘we’re not doing healthcare right now.'”

“I’m really sorry to hear that this happened. It’s not representative of me nor my values,” Ocasio-Cortez responded. “If you can connect with details I’d appreciate it. I’ll follow so DMs will be open.”

If you're a leftie, you cannot be arrested for blocking traffic - pedestrian or vehicular. It's the defacto law of the land.

There is one set of laws they can't get around... they're all rooted in physics.

That Single-Payer Thing Isn’t Working Out for UK

Especially significant is the failure of the government health program to meet its central planning targets for access to care, cancer treatment, and primary care appointments. Here are some examples.

  • Waiting Lists: Only 63 percent of British patients are being treated within 18 weeks; the British government’s target was 92 percent.
  • Accident and Emergency Care: Only 72 percent of British patients seeking emergency care are seen within four hours.
  • Primary Care Appointments: Only 55 percent of British patients are getting “face to face” appointments; pre-pandemic, it was 80 percent.

Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in March of 2020, British waiting lists have increased by 2.4 million; 543,000 British patients have had to wait more than four hours to receive accident and emergency care; 2,300 British patients have had to wait more than a month to start cancer treatment; and 407,00 British patients have failed to get MRI examinations or colonoscopies within six weeks.

In short, according to The Telegraph, “The NHS is failing to meet every single one of its key duties of care to patients.”

You know - it's not JUST the fact that when you give away something for "free" people are going to show up in droves. It's the fact that it is more or less - GOVERNMENT in charge. Been a government employee over 30 years - I absolutely guarantee that if you want EFFICIENT, you won't find a more wasteful entity to run health care.

Our health care is not that great now IMO.
If the Government starts running it , it will get worse.

I am old , I remember when you called you family Doctor you got to see them the same day you called.
When you went to the hospital YOUR Doctor came to see you there.
Some Doctors even made house calls.
You had the idea that your Doctor really cared for you.
They didn't share you with 5 other Doctors.

The only thing they care about now is your dollar.

I don't know about waitlists for cancer treatments here, but I can tell you for damn sure 72 percent of emergency care being seen in under 4 hours is much better than what we have right now, and 55% getting face-to-face appointments during the "pandemic" is likely better than here as well. I haven't seen my primary face to face in 2 years, and have only seen the GI doctor in person because he probably has trouble getting patients to stick their phones up their arse.

Just sneakin' around....
Getting in to see the GP or cardio is a bit tough, very rare to get an appt within a few days. But my ortho... usually only a day or two.

I guess the docs' patients aren't felons in jail. Not that I have first hand knowledge but I hear plenty of jail birds carry a cell phone in their prison pocket.

How exactly do you get that in there? Is it a one person operation or do you need a friend? Also how about getting it out, I’ve had some very cheese intense meals that have made me feel like I was trying to pass a Volkswagen, but in reality was closed to the size of a dill pickle. I imagine most phones are larger than a dill pickle.

And NOT getting sued I might add.
