Why women constantly lie about life on Facebook - Telegraph

Researchers found that at least one in four women exaggerated or distorted what they are doing on social media once a month.

The survey of 2000 women found they mostly pretended to be out on the town, when in fact they are home alone, and embellished about an exotic holiday or their job.

The most common reasons for women to write “fibs” included worrying their lives would seem “boring”, jealousy at seeing other people’s more exciting posts and wanting to impress their friends and acquaintances.

I don't get it... How can you lie about your life on facebook when most of the people on facebook know you... in real life... What is the point?

I hate hate hate when people give play-by-play minute-to-minute updates of their lives. I don't care if you're eating a ####ing snammich.

Then again... I tell my life stories on here...

LOL if anyone looked at my facebook, they would think my life was very boring. But it's not. I would just rather post my problems here than there.

I'm discovering that I have a lot of "Negative Nancy's" that just want to argue and nitpick, so I try not to post that often. Whenever I do, somebody's either proving they are better than me or arguing with me about my opinion. So I go back to not posting.

I have one chick on my page that posts after every AA meeting. I have another chick who posts what a dick her bf is and that they're over. The next week they're back together again. Then again, I also see her post about how soandso is her best frannn and the next week she has a new best frannn. I really do need to eliminate a few people from my page.
