10 Chain Restaurants Worth Visiting

Have only been to 3 of them. Do like an occasional 5 guys burger. Haven't been to Outback in ages but used to like their coconut shrimp. Go to Melting Pot on special occasions and we all enjoy it there but expensive. Haven't been to Chipotle's we normally go to Mexico in Huntingtown. The restaurant with the bison burger sounded interesting.

I don't like Chipotle. Been there twice, just don't like it. I know I'm in the minority.... oh well.

The one locally isn't very good compared to others that I've been to, there's one near Arlington that should be a model for the rest of the stores

I dislike Outback & especially Melting Pot with a passion.

Hank, just curious what is the problem with Melting Pot. Have been numerous times, always had great service, food, and drinks were good but like i stated it is expensive, to us anyway and only go on special occasion type things.

Uh oh, where's Vrai?

:howdy: Right here!

Cheesecake Factory: Too many items on the menu. I've eaten there a couple times and have never had cheesecake one time but my memory is that it was pretty good.

Chipotle: I don't get it, but I'm not an enormous pre-fab Mexican person. It's better than Taco Hell.

Five Guys: Their burgers annoy me because they're too big, and the fries are always soggy. Sheetz has much better burger and fries, sad to say.

Jason's Deli: Never heard of 'em.

California Pizza Kitchen: Barf barf barf. I would choose Ledo's or Pizza Hut over them any day.

Outback: I like them okay. Their steaks are always good and they don't cook their veggies into mush.

Ted's Montana Grill: Never heard of 'em.

Houston's: Never heard of 'em.

Melting Pot: I've always wanted to try it but everyone says it sucks. Fondue is cool.

In-N-Out Burger: Never been to one.

I had lunch at Boston's in Waldork today and it was yummy. Mediterranean chopped salad. Wonder why they didn't make the list?

My favorite fast food restaurant is Chik-Fil-A and my favorite sit-down chain is (sorry, folks) Carrabas. But I'd still rather have a local one-of-a-kind restaurant than an impersonal chain.

Never been to Fogo yet anxious to try. Agree with Chik-Fil-A. Never been to Carrabas. Still don't know what everyone dislikes about Melting Pot? Other than it is expensive, but i bet not as expensive as Fogo's.

Cheesecake Factory - Never been to one! I saw one today at Annapolis Mall when I was there with Thing2, but we weren't having lunch, as we had a big breakfast right before we left to go to the mall.

Chipotle - Never been to one.

Five Guys- I love their burgers and fries, but I try to limit them to once every 4-6 weeks and NOT for lunch - only dinner. I only order the regular or small burger, otherwise it's too much.

Jason's Deli - Never even heard of this place.

California Pizza Kitchen - saw one of these at Annapolis Mall, also. From the looks of the menu, I'd pass them up. I like plain pizza - not layered and loaded up with a bunch of odds & ends stuff.

Outback - I like their steak pretty well. However, I like Longhorn steaks 10X better.

Ted's Montana Grill - Have never heard of this chain.

Houston's - Never heard of this chain, either.

Melting Pot - have seen the place in Annapolis, have never been.

In-N-Out Burger - Have heard of it, but have never seen one around here.

Cheesecake Factory: Overwhelming amount of "choices". Felt rushed. Overcrowded. Don't love it.

Chipotle: I'll eat there, but I'd rather go to a real Mexican restaurant. I dislike cafeteria style lines.

Five Guys: Too greasy.

Jason's Deli: It's just a sub shop. Jerry's here is the same thing. I don't why this is sooo special, because it's not. there are much better delis out there.

California Pizza Kitchen: Okay, but not worth going to imho

Outback: I like Outback. Consistant food, usually decent service and always the same.

Ted's Montana Grill: Okay, this one, this one is a really good "chain". It's a theme chain offering bison and cowboy style cooking. My husband would love the bison meatloaf. I need to check and see if there is a chain near us now

Houston's: Unknown.

Melting Pot: Very pricey and you really need a group of people you really like with you. I mean they are sticking their hands in a plate and sticking that food into cheese and then eating off a stick. Okay - it's good but very gross and I feel like Misfit and worry about cooties and germs. I'm encouraging the giant to get me a fondue pot so I can just sit in front of the tv with it and not share.

In-N-Out Burger: Actually, really tasty, crack-like fast food where the burger actually looks like the commercial pictures.

Wipe.... I mean White Castle is a cult.

i could go for a few of them myself now.... :yum:

We had Crystal Burger in TN. I think it's pretty much the same kinda like a Hardee's and Carl's Jr but I'm not sure. I ate there once while drunk and the smell stayed with me throughout my exceptionally bad hangover so I'm not a fan.

Speaking of Hardee's, though, I'm kinda surprised that's not on the list. Back in TN it has it's own strong following. Breakfast, burgers, drunk people late night food - not a bad setup.
