Rescue Squad Chief Charged with sexual offense

I hate to be the one to say it...but...innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. He's been charged, but he hasn't been tried and convicted. This is a he said she said case. I'll wait for the court's decision before adding slander into the mix.

Maybe I'm just a cynic... but to me the alleged conversation sounds like something out of a cheesy porn movie.

Based on the article, I'd have to say he's probably not guilty of all she's accusing him of.

I edited my original post too not include slander!

It’s possible that there is some exaggeration and embellishment however, its equally possible that its dead on accurate. Like migtig said lets await the court’s decision.

He’s been officially charged with Sex Offense Fourth Degree; Assault Second Degree and False Imprisonment. You can check it out here: Charges

Women are such candy ass babies anymore. Instead of standing up for themselves and slapping this guy in the head, they now run boo-hooing to the police and "file charges".

In my day, sonny, it was pretty simple to get a masher to leave you alone. :boxing:

I agree - she could've slapped him across the face. Besides, if it wasn't the first time, why was she alone in the bldg with him in the first place :coffee:

My only hope is this alleged incident does not diminish the community's faith in their local rescue squads. People should remember that , Chief or not, rescue squad member or not, he is still just a man. This story would not gain so much momentum from the press if not for the alleged incident happening at their station and allegedly involving the chief. I would hope that all who read these news stories are not swift to pass judgement as this man is innocent until proven guilty. The rescue squad he represents apparently took action as they did in accordance with their own by-laws as I'm sure they do not condone this alleged behavior and they should not be slighted. I work with this squad occasionally and I have always been impressed.

Two possible scenarios.

1. They're fooling around before and this time she had an onset of massive PMS.

2. She want something from the guy and he's not playing.

I just can't imagine someone in his position would all of a sudden sexually assault a woman without provocation. I guess we have to wait and see what unfolds at the trial. The sad thing is that if she was found making false accusation, it would hurt the credibility of actual victims.

I agree. She could have just told him to get the eff off of her. If he did not, then she could have kicked or kneed him in the balls and ran.

From the article:

the charges application states she ‘‘was told that this isn't the first time, and charges need to be made before it happened again to someone else.”

You missed this part, he had a problem abusing women before he abused the power of office.

Power of office? He's a damn rescue squad chief.

P.S. If this wasn't the first time then it is her stupidity for letting herself get in that situation again. Idiot.

If it had not been reported before, then she would not know, would she?

....which leaves him free to go and do it again, and explains why it wasn't the first time.

And while we're scoffing:

Abuse? He grabbed her boob and licked her neck

It's not like he raped her in the bathroom or anything. What a friggin' baby.

While you may find boob grabbing and neck licking acceptable behavior from a 64 year old, some don't. Let it go long enough and unreported, and yes, perhaps it could lead to rape. Glad she had the courage to speak up.
