ART’s have a long life expectancy and can live to be 18-20 years old like other small breed dogs. My breed is smart, loving and VERY loyal. I have lots of spunk and I love to cuddle. I get along fine with other dogs and cats, but would also be fine as an only dog. I would be a great companion and have tons of love to give someone like YOU! I am completely vet checked with records, up to date on all my vaccinations, housebroken, spayed and micro chipped. As a SECOND HOPE RESCUE dog, I'm also eligible for seven weeks of FREE obedience training if you'd like to take me to the next level. And my adoption fee is tax deductible as a charity donation

My name is Tapper, it sounds like I'm tap dancing on the floor when I'm excited! I had a rough start, someone thought I was a piece of trash and left me tied up to a fence in freezing weather...and I don't have a heavy wintercoat, so I was very cold! A good samaritan came along and saved me, and some good hearted rescuers put me w/ my foster mom that I have now.
I'm just a little over a year old (my birthday was in February!) and fairly small, I may weigh about 30-35 lbs. I won't get any bigger, I think I'm done growing. I love snuggling, sitting as close as I can to you, running after toys, and I'm a pretty good jumper too. I'm crate trained, house trained, and a pretty quiet gal. I sometimes want to chase cats, and other dogs, well, that'd be a case by case basis. I've got the cutest grin and I love smiling!! I'm great w/ this 11 yr old kid that lives w/ us too!
