If you see any movie this summer, after "Bruce Almighty" of course, go and see this movie. It was fantabolous!

This movie was set after the type of movies that Doris Day and Rock Hudson used to make. Ewan McGregor and Renee Zellweger live up to the challenge.

The story is about Barbara Novak (Zellweger) who is from "Maine" and writes a book about being "Down with Love". Which is being a woman and treated equal in the work force. How they should be treated equally, take sex out of their lives and replace it with chocolate, and be real women.

Catcher Bock (McGregor) the man's man, ladie's man, man about town, is the best reporter for the NY Magazine "Know" and is known for his expositions on people. Catcher is asked by Vicki (Sarah Paulson), Barbara's editor, via Block's editor, Peter MacMannus (David Hyde Peirce) to do an interview with Novak. Catcher being the man he is and thinking that a person that would write this story would be an old hag, he continues to blow her off for a couple of weeks while he seduces the rest of the women in the city.

After she catches Catch is his games, she starts her own to get the publicity that she needs because sales aren't going well. Pretty soon her book is selling better the the Harry Potter series. The women that he is seeing are starting to not see him anymore and this make shim not happy because he's not getting any and he get's mad at Novak. Catcher finally sees a picture of her, and wants to do this article not to plug the book but to bash it. Novak, in turn, starts blowing him off. Catchers editor is in love with Barbara's editor and Block and MacMannus, have a trade of apartments and twisted love turns, to seduce the two women. Catcher starts stalking Barbara and they start dating, but per Barbara's rule no sex is had. It's hard for him but even worse for her because he's playing her for a fool because he's acting like everything she want's in a man.

They realize a lot about them selves over the course of the courtship and all together a great movie!

The best part is the little dance number during the credits
SO STICK AROUND!!!!! :dude: :burning:  :lmao:
