Maggie
Adopt a Domestic Short Hair-black and white: Maggie: Petfinder
***COURTESY POST*** Maggie is a 7 year old black and white DSH. She has never been around dogs or kids and would prefer a home of her own. She does get along with most of owner's cats though. She is not up to date on shots, she is an indoor only cat. She is spayed. She is a laid back cat that gives a meow 'every time' you touch her and pretty much lives on the bathroom sink. She loves to play, uses her scratching post and loves to give headbutts. She has never been sick, doesn't throw up and uses the litter box perfectly. No small children as she isn't the cuddly type cat, though she does w/ her owner. Pls contact Lora@secondhoperescue.org for more info on Maggie.
Cici
Adopt a Siamese: CiCi: Petfinder
OK, so I am a bit of a diva......can you blame me? With these huge baby blue eyes and gorgeous coat, how could anyone resist? Though a Chocolate Point lady never tells her age...I will confide in you that I am 5 yrs young. I very much enjoy some good play time, but my favorite hobby is definitely lapping. I will lay on your lap for hours upon hours and enjoy good classic movies. Even though I do tolerate other animals, I am not very good at sharing my chosen human, and would much prefer to be an only cat. Okay...maybe one other cat...but preferably a male. If you would like an intelligent, beautiful and very loyal companion for life....I am your girl!
Livvy
Adopt a American Staffordshire Terrier: Livvy: Petfinder
Livvy is almost two years old, but she still thinks she's pure puppy! She walks well on a leash, is house and crate trained and enjoys being with her person. Livvy is spayed, up to date on shots, heart worm negative and on preventative. Livvy needs a home without cats. She enjoys playing with male dogs but each case would have to be one on one to see how it goes. Livvy may need surgery for her hips although she has been on supplements ever since she was a puppy and has never shown any issues. It's entirely possible that with proper care for her weight and proper exercise and continued supplements, surgery may never be required. So even if you would just like to foster Livvy please talk to us. Livvy is house and crate trained and is really looking for a family of her own to give all the bully love she has!
Maddie
Adopt a Rottweiler: Maddie: Petfinder
Meet Maddie - she's a 5-6 year old puppy! By the way she acts you would never guess her age! Maddie is house broke, crate trained, and walks pretty good on the leash. Maddie loves to lay down beside you while you are watching TV and just completely enjoys being a part of a family's life! Maddie is spayed and current on all her shots, is heartworm negative and on monthly preventative. Maddie can only go to a home with previous Rottweiler experience as she needs a confident owner to make her feel comfortable.
Maddie has been in foster care for over a year now and desperately needs her own family. Rottweiler's are pack animals, and they truly consider their human family their pack. Maddie has so much love to give to someone and since she's starting to reach her senior years, she truly deserves her "perfect forever home"!
Maddie's adoption fee will be lowered for an approved adopter since the most important thing to her foster mom is finding someone that can love her the way she deserves!
Zak
Adopt a Labrador Retriever: Zak: Petfinder
Zak is another formerly chained dog, having spent the last 3 years of his life living like that he was able to get into rescue, where it's now our mission to give him the home life he deserves.
Zak is his new name to start his new life. Zak has plenty of pent up energy, but just as much love for his new companions!
Since he has never lived in a home before he is enrolled in "House Manners 101" in his current foster home. This includes house and crate training him, teaching him how to walk "politely" on his leash, and how to "relax" when it's time to chill with a human. A human that isn't going to just put food in his bowl and walk away.
Zak hs been neutered, and is current on his shots. Unfortunately after being chained, he is heartworm positive. He will be undergoing treatment soon. He can still be adopted before treatment, and his new home can follow through with this.
If you think Zak is who you have been looking for to add to your family - please contact us for an application. Zak has lots and lots of love to give to the right home!
