Adopt a Domestic Short Hair-gray: Nick: Petfinder
**COURTESY POST** Hi, my name is Nick. I'm a handsome gray kitty, and unfortunately, I'm looking for a new home. Someone here has allergies and even though I'm clean and handsome, I need to find a new place to kick back. I've been neutered (ouch! I hate to say that word!) and I'm up to date on shots. I'm great with people and other animals. I use the litterbox. I'd make a great companion...aren't you in need of a new friend? Pls contact Lora at Lora@secondhoperescue.org.
Oslo
Adopt a American Bulldog: Oslo: Petfinder
Hi, my name is Oslo and I'm an approximately eight year old male American Bulldog mix. I'm SO sweet and loving and I'd make a wonderful friend. I love to go on walks and be outside. I'm looking for someone loving like YOU who can give me the home I deserve. I love to be around people and get along great with other dogs. I haven't had much experience around small children so I'd probably be happier in a home with older children. I am completely vet checked with records, UTD on all vaccinations, neutered, housebroken and micro chipped. My adoption fee is tax deductible as a charity donation. For more information, please call 240-925-0628 or email katmc@secondhoperescue.org.
Finn
Adopt a Cane Corso Mastiff: Finn: Petfinder
Finn came into rescue when her owner died of cancer and no other family member would take her. Finn had lost a lot of weight during her owner's illness and then after she died. We have worked on putting weight on her and she is turning into a beautiful lady.
Finn is 5 years old and will be spayed before placement. Finn is house broke and crate trained and has a very peaceful demeanor. She walks good on a leash, but living in the country she is real good about just walking beside her foster mom and enjoying the smells and sounds of the great outdoors.
Finn gets along with some dogs, mainly the males and would be happier in a home without cats. Due to her size she won't be adopted to anyone with children younger than 10.
Please contact Kathy to give this wonderful dog the chance to live out her life surrounded with love!
Kira
Adopt a Pit Bull Terrier: Kira: Petfinder
I like cats!!!
Now how many dogs, especially Pit bulls can say that out loud? Look at my pictures!
My name is Kira and a good samaritan found me a few months ago, when I was nothing but a skeleton. She has taken me in and gotten all my shots current, got me spayed, made sure I'm heartworm negative and on preventive and she made me a member of the house until I was ready to find a new home.
I'm house and crate trained, and I get along with other dogs, and obviously cats (although they will probably have to be dog smart as well...). I still get a little excited when I meet new people and I'm not sure if I'm supposed to bark or jump up and lick them. So, now they are working on training the difference to me. So far I have caught on pretty quickly. I'm a VERY VERY smart dog!
Due to some medical issues with my good samaritan's family I really need to find my new home as soon as possible. So, if you have a cat, and really want to share your home with a wonderful breed like me, please hurry up and contact Sherrie as I really do need my own place quickly!
Luke
Adopt a Shepherd: Luke: Petfinder
Sep 2008) - Hi, my name is Luke and my brother and I got lost and wound up at the shelter where this nice rescue group came and got us before our time was completely up. I'm about 3 1/2 months old and when I grow up I will be so handsome all the ladies are going to love me.... (of course there will never be any little "me's" running around...)
My foster mom says I'm way sweeter and calmer than she ever thought I'd be, but once she separated us, we both calmed right down, okay some anyway. She is now in the process of crate and house training us and trying to teach us some manners. I suppose if a pig can swim I should be able to sit politely (ha).
Luke is doing really well and is pretty quiet in his crate and when he comes out he knows to go straight to the front door and wait for me to open it. Luke likes to lay in your lap if you'll sit on the floor with him and just give him some personal loving time. Luke truly is a sweetheart and will make a wonderful addition to any home! Luke will be neutered and fully vetted before adoption. Please contact us today for a chance to meet this awesome boy!
