The date on the article in the link is from early June (not that it makes a difference). I hadn't hear about it though.

It was aired on channel 7 news this morning I think he goes to trial today.
is this the same TFC Murphy from the Calvert County outpost.

Most sting operations involve laying a trap. Thats what I was trying to find out

I wouldn't condemn all troopers based on the actions of one but I will say that I'm not surprised a MD trooper got busted for child porn. Most people who become law enforcement officers have something wrong with them.

Because it's true. I know alot of Police Officers and I know a few troopers. Went to school with many of them and the things they do in private are far worse than what most avergae citizens do.....

I have very little respect for the majority of Law Enforcement officers I've met.

Some are extremely proffesional and do a fantastic job serving and protecting. I think these are the officers in the minority. I know I'll get flamed for saying this but it's the truth as far as I'm concerned..... And no I've never been arrested or harrassed by a cop.

Oh I see. I am on the flip side. I grew up with a strong law enforcement enviroment. Meaning many family members were officers in one branch or the other and many of their friends were too.

I don't know what goes on behind closed doors, but to me they were all stand up people.

They probably were all stand up people. The ones I grew up with know were not stand up people.
