Actually, there were Blair's first and Movie Gallery bought them out and never bothered to change the signs. I haven't been in one in years, since they pissed me off and I got Netflix instead, but aren't they still owned by Movie Gallery?

I know. My husband used to work for Blair's Video and then, the Blairs sold thier business to Movie Gallery. Movie Gallery was too lazy to change thier signs because they wanted to see how well they are doing in this county before they throw alot of $$$ into changing the signs and some other things.

How do you like Netflix? I may consider signing up.

Netflix is decent. I'm really bad about returning the movies, so I don't get my money out of it. But the turnaround is pretty quick, if I mail a movie to them on Monday, they get it on Tuesday and immediately send another one out and I get it on Wednesday.

If I have a craving for a certain movie, I can always put it on the top of my list to get next. I've never had an issue with them being out of a certain movie.

Not bad, especially since the last time I checked, movies from the rental store were going up again...plus gas to go get them.

I pay $15 a month to have two movies at a time. If I watched them every week and returned them timely, that means 8-10 movies per month. If I don't watch them every week and then forget to return them when I do manage to watch them...well, that's my own damn fault.

The one in Charlotte Hall is still open.

I wouldn't know anything about Charlotte Hall as it is about 30 minutes drive for me to go up there.

I do know that California Movie Gallery closed down first and then the one in Callaway. I'm not sure about Leonardtown's.

set up a movie server.
I used an older dell duel 3.2 gig processors, installed a tb of hard drive.
I record the movies directly to the drive and can play them back anytime I want through the surround sound. average movie is about 4 gig, so I can have around 300 movies loaded.

Blair's Video closed in Prince Frederick a couple months ago - actually, what seemed like a few days after Pizza Hut opened next door to them! :lmao: That should have been a very lucrative "partnership" there but apparently not.
