Obama destroyed America
Watch this!! The pilot is 17 years old!

Way cool, but just doesn't amaze me at all. This type of ability should be pretty much standard for his age group that spends too much time on the couch in front of the big screen TV with the WII, Nontendo, etc.
The past generation of kids have grown up with joysticks in their hands, and although this particular kid's talent is top shelf, hopefully he can do the same by controlling remote aircraft in defense of the US.
Probably not, though. Not enough money in it.[/QUOTE]
I disagree.

I disagree.
With what part of my statement do you disagree? Specifically?
I gave the kid credit for his skills. By doing what he is doing is, uhhhh, what, besides cool for the moment?
Do you think that will transfer into any other useful skills other than driving drones from 10,000 miles away, or eating Cheetos in his moms basement while playing video games?
Cool, but no more cool than, say, hitting the game winning home run for your high school district game against your arch rivals, for one game.
Then what?

You said there was no money in it...that's why I bolded that part. It's actually a very highly sought after skill that pays marvelously.

Where? Video game testing? Possibly flight simulators? No doubt some can make a living out of it. Somewhere.
I did not diss this kid at all, very cool. But what next? Regional R/C plane flying competiton?
It's all relative, right? Except for no hope boy. It has no relativity at all.
I'm sure there are isolated places where joy-stick control can make a difference.

I was talking about being a UAS operator...but most of us are some form of RC enthusiast. I also get to test video games and simulators as well.
I never said you dissed anyone...I just said you can make money in the field.

I do not disagree. What is a UAS operator - some kind of simulator/drone operator? If so, I believe I mentioned that as well in my OP.
I could ask my son, I guess. He is a Naval Flight Officer that flies on Navy aircraft that regularly probe enemy/non-friendly airspace in real time, doing missions every day or so from Qatar.
He is pretty good at video games/RC vehicles as well, but not while on duty, and gets paid decently for his military service....

Unmanned Air Systems...what ya'll call drones, but we really hate...haha
