19-YO Attacks 81-YO Over MAGA Hat (Read The Story With "The Contours" Song Playing)

Yooper

Up. Identified. Lase. Fire. On the way.
Just a little misunderstanding, I'm guessing.

A 19-year-old man has been arrested for attacking an 81-year-old wearing a MAGA hat in Somerset, N.J., prosecutors say.
...

When they arrived, the 81-year-old told police he had been confronted by a man over his “Make America Great Again” hat as he left the store with his groceries.
...
...[T]he victim attempted to leave the area. As he turned to walk away, the assailant – identified by police as Ryan M. Salvagno, 19 – was able to grab the victim’s hat, prompting a struggle, according to prosecutors.

Salvagno then allegedly took the victim by the arm and threw him to the ground, tipping over the elderly man’s cart of groceries and throwing the hat to one side, prosecutors said.

Hoodlum looking for a reason to be stupidly malicious/mischievous or politically-motivated assault? Or both?

What the hell is going on, people?!

It is what the two party system, yes both parties, has brought to us. George Washington and Alexander Hamilton opposed political parties. It is a shame the founding fathers could not come up with a way to prevent them constitutionality wise. The two parties have become all about opposing the other, growing, and turning out their base. Neither is actually interested in governing. They only care about power. The failure of the founding fathers to clamp down on parties is what will destroy the country from within. Oh well, we had a good run.

The two parties aren't only about opposing each other it just appears that way because only the diametrically opposed ideas are highlighted. On the whole they agree with each other more than they disagree. As for the only caring about power part, who doesn't, besides the R's and the D's you have a bunch of different religions and a slew of billionaires on that list (hello Soros and Bloomberg).
