If you have never driven one of these from the factory you do not know what your missing, this guy says 6000 RPM when in all reality it will scream 7500 with no problem.290 hp wrong my dad had a 68 and had it dyno tested made 357 HP

Two guys I grew up with still have the 69 Cameros they bought while in HS. One a 69 Z28 baby blue still has the original DZ 302 in it, and the other is a 69 RS/SS? convertible Indy Pace car, with the orange and black plaid seats 4 speed and a Factory 396 in it.
