Chris Mathews calls Arlen a cross-dresser

Well, not really. He said that people that change parties are like those men on the Titanic who put on women's clothes to get into the life rafts.

Apparently, he doesn't know much about the Titanic. Or, that he is calling Alrlen Spectre the same thing he's calling Griffith

And, with that, I don't think anyone can ever consider Chris Matthews "unbiased" again. Because when it was Arlen Specter and Jim Jeffords, Matthews applauded that and thought it was great.

Remember, this is Philadelphia politics. Matthews was going to seek the Democrat Party nomination for Senate, then Specter switched parties again and blocked him. Remember, Specter was a Democrat until he switched to Republican to run for D.A. in '65.
