I recently re-acquired my 1993 Z28 LT1 6 speed. I need to have the oil changed.

Where should I, and more importantly where shouldn't I take it?

You can go to Mr. Tire in L.P.; and for something like $20, they'll do it.
If you go to Laser Lube by the car wash on 235, they'll tell you that you need new coolant and a trans flush and fill and new aircleaners, etc., etc..

Like others have said, the best thing to do is, take it to the driveway; but, if you don't want to deal with all that, buy the filters and the oil and take it to Mr. Tire. You won't have to pay for materials.

I have a problem with bringing your own stuff to a mechanic, unless of course it it is a thing they simply dont have. Like bringing eggs to a restaurant. I would, and do, do it myself, but if I didnt, I would trust the folks to Curtis Tire over the big chain folks. No idea how much they would charger, but most likely competitive.

That's about as tacky as taking a raw steak to a resturant and asking them to cook it
