2 Thessalonians 1:1 Paul, Silas[a] and Timothy, To the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:2 Grace and peace to you from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
The Thessalonians replied to the first letter, according to the commentaries. Now, according to the commentaries, the church brought questions about the return of Christ and how some of the people in the church were acting.
The commentaries also say that Paul didn't write the letter himself, but dictated it to Silas or Timothy. The tone of the letter shows that Paul was dictating but the handwriting was different showing it was dictated by Paul. The three of them were in Corinth.
