so, my doctor moved my due date to the 10th of November and I'm a little freaked out. spent all night last night having dreams about the kid showing up early and hubby and me not having anything ready.

please tell me I"m normal and not completely neurotic.

It's normal to feel discombulated. On a good note, the only thing you need to have on hand when you bring that baby home is an infant safe carseat, diapers, formula(or boobs full of milk) and a safe place for the baby to sleep. :baby:

You are perfectly normal :flowers: :huggy: It's understandable to be worried, out of sorts about the whole process, much less having your due date moved up on you. It'll all work itself out.

Did you just tell someone they were normal?

nah. that's just their prediction for labor. I know it doesn't actually mean that much but it kind of threw me for a loop anyway. especially since I am/was planning to work until the 11th.

Congrats on the baby! Don't worry about not having everything in place before the bay comes along. He/she won't care if he/she is sleeping in a dresser drawer, as long as the baby is fed, changed, and loved.

I have 8 weeks to go, and I've done *absolutely nothing* to prepare for it. I figure by the time the baby is 16 I may finally have the room decorated and the crib put together.

Then don't let it throw you. Just because they moved the date doesn't mean the baby is going to take them seriously. I have been pregnant twice. Both times I worked right up until the day before labor (my labor started in the early hours of the morning for both).

thanks for the reassurement everyone. I guess I'm a little stressed right now. in addition to preparing for the baby, I"m also trying to get end of quarter grades done by friday and have 6 weeks of lesson plans ready for the sub.

Then that's where your focus should be. Once you get that off your shoulders, you will feel much better. Stop worrying about when the baby will come because that's something you don't have much control over. It could be tonight if the kid decides so... but then again it could be the 15th...

You'll do great. Just be sure to take a few moments to relax and enjoy this special time in your life.

What... you didn't know she was pregnant or you didn't know others besides itsbob were in the running...
Put that way, I guess both

I may have heard a vague mention of a slight possibility, but never anything after.... and never anything from T... so, I never really gave it much credit..

Now, I am happy but sorry I didn't know, all at the same time!

Nomo told me she was going to start a "Baby Pool" but yours wasn't going to be "Guess the Due Date" it was going to be "Guess the Baby Daddy"...

She said 50% of the take goes to the winner and 50% to the organizer of the pool... she also said you were down with that.
