2010 Smyfl Flag Football

The Lexington Park Hornets, the Hollywood Raiders, and the Mechanicsville Braves will all be participating, practicing and playing at each of their home fields. In addition, inter-league play between the clubs and games with programs in surrounding areas will be also be scheduled.

Each club will follow the NFL flag rules. The program is open to boys and girls ages 4-17.



Children will be divided into the following age groups:

Division 1: Ages: 4-6
Division 2: Ages: 7-9
Division 3: Ages 10-12
Division 4: Ages 13 - 17

Age is determined as of April 1st, 2010.

Cost is $25 per participant
$10 for Jersey
$5 for Flag Belt
$5 for End of Season Award
$5 for Insurance

Online registration is now open but in person registration will also be held at Chancellors Run Park, Leonard Hall Recreation Center and Margaret Brent Rec Center on March 20th, 27th & April 3rd from 10am to 2pm.

We will also be have a Fall flag football program sponsored by each club. Everyone that registers for the Spring Program will be allowed the opportunity to play in the Fall Flag Football program at no charge.



Those interested in coaching need to contact their Club President so that coaching assignments can be made prior to the start of registration. Coaches wanting to register complete or near complete teams need to contact their Club President so accommodations can be made.

Monday July 19th – Thursday July 22th 9:00am – 3:00pm

Presented by Southern Maryland Youth Football League, Lexington Park Hornets, Leonardtown Wildcats, and Mechanicsville Braves and is open to any child regardless of the club or league affiliation.

Ages 5 to 14 years old.

Cost for camp is $75.00 per camper. Click here for Online Registration.

Each child will be supplied equipment, and receive a free practice Jersey.

Camp will be broken into three age groups.

6-7 – Years
8-10 – Years
11-14 – Years

Equipment issue will take place on Sunday July 18th at Dorsey Park from 11am – 2pm.

A pizza lunch and drink will be provided each day.



Each group will work with Camp Counselors, Coaches from all three clubs, and High School coaches.Camp will be a combination of instructions and scrimmages to allow the Campers to practice and apply what they have learned at the camp. All Campers will be taught the fundamentals and techniques to improve their performance. We will provide each player the means to maximize his/her ability for the upcoming season. Family members are invited to attend to watch their children participate.
