I read two different places that the date is 12/21/12. Who knows...

If I am right, this claim is based on the fact that the Mayan Calender - stops - at the year 2012, and that Nostradamus could not "see" into the future past the same date/year.

Actually, I think you're forgetting that "B" has already been prophesied by Jesus. Secular science is only now just seeing what's coming and is confirming what Jesus already Warned us about:

For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. (Matthew 24:21)

Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: (Matthew 24:29)

But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, (Mark 13:24)

But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people. (Luke 21:23)

And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; (Luke 21:25)

This could be referring to 2012 or a future date. Nevertheless, if Jesus is correct it will happen according to plan and on whichever date so planned.

I would think - that there are going to be signs along the way, as we lead up to that date. It ain't gonna happen overnight.

Scientists will be weighing in on changes that may be occurring in the environment, which they cannot explain.
