Okay, so my 4runner is of course in the body shop from the accident I was in on the 6th and they gave me this 2014 Jeep Latitude as a rental and I have NO idea how to put it in 4wd. I googled it and it just shows videos of new ones and reviews. the owners manual is of course NOT in the thing and :hugesigh: it's snowing :cds: anyone know how these things work?

Just keep at least these two things in mind.....
1.) Four-wheel drive vehicles can still break traction and slide off'n the road if you're not careful.....and
B) This little bit of weather probably won't amount to enough to warrant 4WD.

DARN Why did you have and go and say 4 wheel drive does not help when you hit slick spots? I enjoy seeing the 4 wheel drive vehicles in the ditches LOL

The little bit of snow we had yesterday and you wanted the vehicle in 4WD?? Save it for when there is actually accumulation on the ground.

Its a soccer mom SUV.. not a truck. 4WD is probably automatic.. no buttons, no transfer case, no locking hubs.. it's a 4WD made for women..just like the Highlander

OR its a 2WD Latitude.. worse case if it isn't aNY of the above lower the drivers sun visor.. 4Wd instructions are usually stuck there..

I have 2011. Look on center console (beside E-brake). I would have to go look to see how it's labeled, but it's a chrome lever you pull up. The 4WD indicator should show on the dash. Pull lever up again to disengage.
