Attention: One week from today is 1 February. At 12.01 AM, 1 Feb. all Christmas decorations must be removed from public view or they are free to anyone that removes them. This includes the deflated blow up snow globes lying flat in your yard, all Christmas animals (animated or still), icsicle type roof adornments, shrub blankets, and any other Christmas decor. You can file for an exemption from this regulatory requirement if you meet one or more of the following requirements:

1. You prominently display a SMIB sign in Blaze Orange with letters 3 feet high on all sides of your home that can be viewed from any public road or thoroughfare. (Residents of Ridge or 7th district exempt since it is a known fact).

2. You are selling your home and are advertising it as pre-decorated, just in time for Christmas (you must specify the year).

3. You are on an extended vacation from SOMD (must be further than Baltimore, PG or Montgomery counties or any part of Virginia).

4. Your home has been designated as a SOMD navigational aid by the FAA.

5. You have any family member that has been deployed in support of our country through the Christmas Holidays. (In this case, all decorations not covered by 1-4 above are free to you and are allowed to be displayed for 1 month after return of said family member).

Thank you for your compliance.
