Just an FYI for my fellow politically-minded forumites...
There is a pretty good app for Android/iOS/Win7 from the Sunlight Foundation. Here it is for Android:

I get a notification of every piece of legislation that is introduced and voted on (some of the crap that gets introduced is ). It's amazing to see how much legislation is introduced to name post offices.
