Charles County public schools closing two hours early today; afternoon/evening activities canceled
Calvert County schools will be closing two hours early today.
All Charles County Public Schools activities scheduled to begin before 10 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 26 are canceled. The canceled activities include the administration of the SAT at Westlake High School, the winter chess tournament at Thomas Stone High School and several JROTC drill competitions, which were occurring outside of Charles County.
Regular activities, including sports competitions and practices, may begin at 10 a.m. Please contact your child’s coach with questions.
The College Board will reschedule the administration of the SAT and notify test takers of the new date. The chess tournament is rescheduled for Feb. 2. JROTC instructors will notify cadets if the drill competitions are rescheduled.
