Senate Democrats Finally Unveil Budget

About time!

After four long years, the Senate Democrats finally produced a budget this afternoon. They put it off as long as possible, but finally had to make the document public. What is striking about the budget is that it contains absolutely nothing that is new. It calls for more spending, higher taxes, more debt. It never comes close to balancing. It reforms nothing and changes nothing. It simply demands more money from the taxpayers, and spends all that and more. The Democrats are like a Neanderthal man found frozen in ice: unchanging, immobile, out of date and–intellectually, at least–dead.

Sounds like obama's plan. Increase taxes to the tune of about 3.7 trillion and decrease medicare by approx 162 billion.

why would you expect anything different?

The R's put out the same swill they been pushing for the entirety of their existence...

The Ds put out the same swill they push...

They both play to their uneducated, misinformed bases...

They agree to nothing...and the status quo continues...which is the end goal of both parties...

The Donk's swill is supposed to come out annually, by law. Reid just ignored the law for the last four years and the President is late again with his swill.

In some ways, I don't blame BO, his swill can't even get Donk votes.

Really? Then how do you explain the GOP blowing the ‘surplus’ from the Clinton years? How do you explain Bush’s massive deficits and debt?

But since you’ve admitted but Ds and Rs are uneducated and misinformed, what would your budget look like?

The Democrat budget’s “spending cut” hocus pocus

It’s awful that the Democrats want to squeeze a trillion dollars in new taxes out of Americans with Senate Budget Committee chair Patty Murray’s (D-WA) budget proposal, but hey, at least they offer a “balanced approach” by cutting a trillion in spending too, right?

Wrong. The “spending cuts” are almost entirely fraudulent. They’re just paperwork shuffles and accounting tricks.

It begins with one of the most reliable old flim-flams in the Democrat budget arsenal, “war savings.” This is accomplished by assuming that military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan would continue forever… except hey, what do you know, they’re ending! BOOM! $240 billion in “savings!”

In addition to being an insult to our intelligence, the “war savings” scam offers depressing commentary on the way Democrats view government spending through the lens of “baseline budgeting.” The default state of every government program is eternal existence, with built-in annual increases. Can anyone name a major program other than military operations that ever ends, or even diminishes appreciably? Okay, how about a minor one?

On top of the phony war savings, Murray’s budget does cut into the military, funding America’s defense a good $658 billion below the House budget figures, according to the Heritage Foundation. The military remains the one line item Democrats really are willing to slash.

Both those parties want nothing more than to grow the Federal government. The difference is that the Dems tell you to your face that they are going to screw you and this country while the Repubs blow smoke up your @ss and make you think they are going to do the fiscally conservative thing, then stab you in the back with more spending and government growth.
